– Recap by Michael Pelletier.
Just like last year, conditions at this Friday evening race with its 8 pm start were ideal: 63o with a light Easterly wind. Seven members of the North Shore Striders were there to take advantage of the favorable conditions and compete in the ninth event of the 2017 NSS Grand Prix. The seven Striders joined another 361 runners in competing for the 54 available awards. The 54 available awards represented 14 % of the entrants. However, the NSS far exceeded expectations as 43% of the Striders present earned an award.

* Your age-graded % score is the ratio of the approximate world-record time for your age and gender divided by your actual time.
** Your age-graded time is your finish time adjusted to that of an open division participant of the same gender at age 25.
Using the age-graded % score, you can compare your performance to the world record for your age and sex. These percentiles can be interpreted as follows:
•Over 90% — World Class
•Over 80% — National Class
•Over 70% — Regional Class
•Over 60% — Local Class
