North Shore Striders enjoying the sun and practicing social distancing! Annajean, Mike, Cheryl and Mariellen. Hoping that everyone is doing well and adjusting as well as can be expected to the new current normal… at least there’s more time to train for the Boston Marathon this year!

Hello, I haven’t been a member for several years. I came out looking to see if there were “virtual” training sessions. Mostly driven by looking for a couch to 5k training plan as I haven’t run in a few years (mostly knees but also just pure laziness).
I am going to reup my membership. My contact has been limited even when I was a member but I do recall enjoying my interaction with the group. I’m hopeful that some form of virtual workouts might start. Happy to discuss options with club members. Anything from a simple Fitbit recording of a run to something more sophisticated like either a MapMyRun with a phone or a GPS enabled watch like my Garmin. Something that will push me with the running club community engagement. (translation, I’m weak and need a community to help me move. See laziness comment earlier).
Let me know if there is plans to virtually interact (I’m not an active member so would not be aware of anything happening). I’d love to motivate and get moving again. I’m making me sound a lot worse than I am. But I haven’t run much at all in the past 3 years. I need to work my way back up slowly and am looking for the support system. Hopefully the club is finding a way to support each other during this unusual and crazy time.
