On Sunday, October 8th, four of the North Shore Strider women ran the Chicago Marathon. It started off cool in the Windy City before heating up as noontime approached, but Annajean, Mariellen, Maureen, and Denise proved equal to the task of finishing strong at Chicago. Nice work, Striders!

My comrades inspired me tremendously. Their example and endurance and tenacity influenced my decision to sign up for the Loco Half and Full Marathon in Newmarket, NH, on 10/29! I am incredibly impressed by their accomplishments especially since a few were running despite far-less-than-ideal health and therefore conditioning statuses. They deserve a major salute! BRAVA ALL.
